Emily’s BTC Experience
Emily is a student in our Phlebotomy Technician program, where she is learning valuable skills that will propel her career in the healthcare field. Before attending BTC, Emily was a full-time stay-at-home mom to her three children. The flexibility of smaller classes, affordable pricing, and class hours are what drew her to Boardman Training Center. She also appreciated that BTC is close to home, allowing her to balance her life with her education.
As a student at Boardman Training Center, Emily benefits from learning in a student-first environment. She even says her favorite part of attending BTC is “The student-teacher relationship. I always feel supported, heard, and understood.”

After graduation, Emily aims to work as a phlebotomy technician in a blood bank clinic, rehabilitation center, or possibly a pediatric office. “The possibilities are so open!” she said. In five years, she hopes to be financially stable, working in a career she loves that allows her to care for others and continue her education within the medical field.
