Supportive Environment
Our WE CARE learning environment begins at your first contact with Boardman Training Center. As part of the enrollment process, you will work closely with an admissions team member who will answer any questions you have about the programs, facility, and financing. Our team will then help create an individualized education plan that fits your needs.
Once enrolled at Boardman Training Center, our smaller class sizes and skilled instructors will help you gain the valuable hands-on experience and knowledge you’ll need to succeed in your future career. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to ensuring each student receives the best educational experience possible.
Accelerated Programs
The Boardman Training Center’s educational approach offers students a unique learning experience through accelerated, hands-on training that can be completed in weeks. This allows students to quickly gain the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to prepare them for a new career instead of spending four to six years attending a traditional school.
Boardman Training Center offers Cardio Phlebotomy, EKG Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, Medical Assisting, and Medical Billing and Coding training. These short-term programs are designed with you in mind– providing you with the exact skills you need to start a new healthcare career.
Certification Preparation
As a student at Boardman Training Center, you will be prepared to sit for industry-specific National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification* exams. By obtaining certifications through a trusted third-party agency, you show potential employers that you possess skills and competencies that align with established industry standards. This can give you a competitive advantage in the hiring process over a candidate who does not have a certification.
Certification preparation is incorporated directly into each program’s curriculum at Boardman Training Center. The EKG program prepares students to sit for the Certified EKG Technician (CET)* exam. Phlebotomy students are prepared to sit for the Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT)* exam.
Additionally, Medical Billing and Coding Specialist program students will be prepared to sit for the NHA Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS)* exam. Students in the Medical Assisting Specialist program will be prepared to sit for the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)* and Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)* exams.
Obtaining a certification from the National Healthcareer Association proves that you meet the national standards for your industry. The National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accreditation of the NHA’s exams adds an additional layer of validation to your capabilities in your healthcare field. The NHA is a widely recognized agency among many employers, with 75-93% of healthcare employers either requiring or suggesting that potential employees possess an NHA certification in their industry, according to an industry and outlook trends blog by the NHA.
