Deirdre Turner is working on obtaining her medical certification as a phlebotomist
through Boardman Training Center (BTC). Before attending Boardman Training Center, Deirdre went to school at Trumbull Business College in Warren, PA. She worked at General Motors but was laid off and realized that Trumbull was not the best fit for her. Deirdre wanted a more hands-on experience within her training.
Deirdre decided to enroll in classes at Boardman Training Center after speaking with an admission representative. She knew she wanted a career quickly and didn’t want to spend four years in college before entering the medical field. At BTC all of the classes were in the medical field, were small and personable, and offered the hands-on experience that Deirdre desired.
Deirdre stated, “One of my favorite parts of attending Boardman Training Center is that everyone is so friendly. I am getting the proper training I need to do the work.” Her favorite teacher is Dave Intro. Dave, along with other staff, takes the time to break down the materials so that it is easier to understand and comprehend.”
Deirdre enjoys Boardman Training so much that she has already referred her niece to the campus and is taking the courses with her. Deirdre’s ideal job is to work in an establishment that she loves while being able to provide for her family.
