Keep reading this blog to learn how BTC has helped Danielle achieve her career goals and discover how you could also benefit.
Why Choose BTC?
Danielle’s decision to enroll in classes at BTC was multifaceted; a combination of the convenient location, financial flexibility, and program length. “I chose BTC first due to the location, second because of the cost, and finally because of how quickly I could gain by certification in medical assisting,” Danielle said.
Location matters, especially for students like Danielle who must balance school with personal and family obligations. BTC’s campus in Boardman, Ohio, is conveniently located, so local students don’t need to travel to further their education. Because of BTC’s small-school atmosphere, students can build relationships with their instructors, faculty, and fellow students as they complete their education. Danielle says her favorite part of BTC was “the camaraderie between the students and staff.”
Another significant factor for many students when choosing a school is cost. Boardman Training Center is proud to offer financial planning to help students manage the cost of their education. Our goal is to help students focus on their education, rather than the financial burden. With flexible payment plans, BTC is helping make education a reality for many students like Danielle.
Programs at BTC are designed for students like Danielle who want to start their healthcare careers at a more accelerated pace. Instead of spending years in school, students can complete career-focused, skill-driven programs in just 12 weeks. This prepares graduates to sit for their industry certification* and enter the workforce in just months. The 12-week timeframe can be intimidating for some students, but Danielle offers good advice: “Come to class; it’s a lot of information in a small time frame. My instructors made learning fun.”
BTC’s Medical Assisting Specialist Program
Danielle chose BTC’s Medical Assisting Specialist program because she knew it would be exciting and challenging. Throughout her time as a student, she completed various hands-on experiences, formed lasting relationships, and gained the skills she needed to achieve her career goal of working in a small private medical practice. “BTC gave me the knowledge and tools needed to accomplish my goals,” she said.
In addition to the hands-on experience BTC incorporates into each program’s curriculum, students are prepared to sit for industry-specific National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification* exams. Medical assisting students prepare for both the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) and the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) certifications.
When asked if she’d recommend Boardman Training Center to a friend, Danielle said, “Yes, I would recommend BTC because of the small class size and individual attention you can receive.” She also says that one of the most rewarding aspects of her time at BTC was the skills she learned while in the medical assisting training program.
