Completing an exam can be difficult for many people. It may be hard for some to memorize information, and others may experience stress and anxiety because of exams.

Tip #5: Lower your test anxiety with relaxation techniques such as breathing exercises, thinking happy thoughts, meditation, or picturing your favorite places. Studying for an exam is much harder when you are stressed out.

Tip #9: Keep yourself hydrated by drinking water on the day of your exam. There are many functions in our bodies that depend on water, and if we don’t have enough of it, things cannot work properly. For example, not drinking enough water can give you headaches, which you don’t want during an exam.

Tip #10: Arrive to your test on time or early if you can, so you have some time to clear your mind and relax before beginning the exam. This will also give you time to ask last-minute questions.

Tip #11: Bring the required supplies that you will need to complete your exam. Some necessary items could be a notebook for essays or problems, a pencil, a calculator, class notes, or something else.

Tip #12: Have a positive attitude before your test, as you complete it, and after you finish. This can help you stay relaxed, lower your test anxiety, and give you a confidence boost.

Tip #13: Review the directions carefully for your exam and each question before you begin to answer them. It is easy to choose the wrong answer if you don’t understand the directions clearly.
